We Tried These Totally Real PB&J Sandwiches From The 12 Countries Competing In Women’s Soccer This Summer

Twelve different countries are competing in women’s soccer this summer and are putting on one of the greatest shows ever seen. What if this clash of culture and competition was decided on the kitchen counter instead of the field?

Trump On USWNT: ‘Woke Means You Lose’

Donald Trump has a theory on why the USWNT failed to win a gold medal at the 2020 Olympics. His team sent a statement out criticizing the U.S. women for winning the bronze medal after beating Australia in a highly entertaining 4-3 third-place match on Thursday.

Trump, who has been banned from most social media platforms, suggested the USWNT would have won gold if they hadn’t been so damn woke.

Estados Unidos Se Despide De Tokio Con Un Gol Olímpico De Rapinoe Y Un Amargo Bronce

Megan Rapinoe’s Outrageous Olimpico Sends USWNT To Bronze Medal Consolation

Well now, that was a little closer to the USWNT Americans were hoping to see all tournament. A shame it only showed up in the bronze-medal match.

Carli Lloyd Refuses To Take Knee With Teammates Before Match

Carli Lloyd, it seems, is done being a good teammate.

Lloyd, likely playing in her final tournament for her national team, was the only U.S. women’s national team player who did not take a knee before kickoff of the bronze-medal match against Australia on Thursday in Kashima, Japan.

Great Britain Is Coming Home Early After Australia Comes Alive Late

TOKYO — Canada reached the semifinals in women's soccer for the third consecutive Olympic Games as goalkeeper Stephanie Labbe saved two Brazil penalties in a 4-3 shootout win on Friday. Australia smashed Great Britain in extra time and Sweden knocked out host Japan.

After Canada captain Christine Sinclair's penalty was saved by Barbara, Labbe rescued her side with two diving saves to keep out Brazil's final two spot kicks from Andressa and Rafaelle.

Vivianne Miedema, La Máquina De Goles Que Amenaza A Estados Unidos En Los JJ.OO.

USWNT Takes Two Steps Back In Godawful 0-0 Draw With Australia

For all the talk about building momentum and playing their best stuff come the knockout rounds, the USWNT has very little momentum and could put you into a soccer-induced coma heading into a quarterfinal against either the Netherlands or Brazil after drawing Australia 0-0 on Tuesday morning.

The optimist might say “job done.” The USWNT had nothing to gain here with Sweden locking up the top spot in the group, but the team could’ve still dropped to third with a defeat. The realist will say “yeah but that was terrible.”

Luego viene el fútbol. ¡Siuuuu!

New Zealand’s Olympic soccer preparations were handed a blow a couple weeks before the tournament kicks off, and Football Ferns coach Tom Sermanni is not happy about it. Team captain Ali Riley and defensive star Abby Erceg were not allowed to join up with their national team until after this weekend’s NWSL games, leading Sermanni to excoriate the Orlando Pride and N.C. Courage.
