Seattle failed to register a single shot on target throughout the duration of 120 tense minutes in Toronto at the 2016 MLS Cup final. However, with Stefan Frei in goal, getting a shot on frame from open play simply wasn’t necessary.
Toronto, and Jozy Altidore in particular, must’ve thought they’d sealed the goal that would see them become first-time MLS Cup champions, only to watch Frei claw the ball from the top corner with one of the greatest saves in MLS history.

Frei would also save from Michael Bradley in the penalty shootout before Justin Morrow saw his effort crash back against the crossbar, making the Seattle Sounders the 2016 MLS Cup winners.
