This is probably a somewhat contentious decision given that Marta, the five-time FIFA World Player of the Year, has scored over 100 goals for Brazil and over 300 in her club career, but personally, I think this is Marta’s finest hour.
She's had two short stints with Santos in Sao Paulo, and Marta scored this ridiculous solo goal during her time there. It’s extravagantly Brazilian.
Marta obliterates four defenders with ease because doing things like that are really easy for her. She then rounds the goalkeeper and finishes with a rabona kick. Even Maradona didn’t finish his legendary goal against England with a rabona, nobody does that except Marta.
Marta made her Orlando Pride debut in NWSL on April 22 in a 1-1 draw with Washington, and she started in the Pride’s 3-1 defeat to North Carolina on Saturday.
