Belarus and its president are choosing the bold strategy of handling the on-going pandemic as if it were a ghost. Apparently, Belarus doesn’t believe in ghosts as the country and its Premier League continue as normal. We will see how it works out for the Eastern European country in the coming weeks. Nevertheless, the Belarusian Premier League produced a top-quality goal on Saturday.
FC BATE’s Willum Willumsson — an Icelandic international — produced some top-notch Belarusian Premier League magic and scored one of the few goals the world will see this weekend.
Unfortunately for visiting BATE, the hosts would snatch two goals of far-less quality to snatch the win from the 15-time Belarusian Premier League champions.
BATE’s goalkeeper will be wishing to have that one back.
Oh well, surely, he can’t screw up a second time.
This goalkeeper is stopping shots about as well as Belarus is taking precautions to halt the spread of coronavirus.
The game ended with the mighty Slavia-Mozyr stunning the Belarusian-giants and winning 2-1 on Saturday.
As of March 28, Belarus has reported 94 cases of COVID-19 with no deaths.
