FC Dallas had no issues defeating Austin FC at home in MLS’ mid-week Matchday 24, with The Toros strolling to a 4-1 win at Toyota Stadium.
The tone of the game, favoring Dallas, took a turn in the 50th minute when the home side were awarded a penalty for the chance to regain the lead.
Star Croatian striker Petar Musa stepped up to the spot looking to continue his goal-scoring streak but failed after a solid save from Brad Stuver. Austin FC player Cascante, who was seen speaking to the Croatian prior to the kick, celebrated in front of Musa after Stuver’s clutch save.
The save, however, was to be invalidated after Stuver had stepped off his line before Musa had connected with the ball, resending Musa to the spot for a second penalty kick. And he did not waste a double opportunity to hit the back of the net.
After giving Dallas the lead, Musa would go on to return the ‘mocking celebration’ to Cascante, celebrating in front of the Costa Rican’s face and doing so until separated by other players. Dallas' Nkosi Safari also joined in on the fun.

Musa would get booked by the referee, with the sequence ending in just another heated moment that stayed as just that. An MLS moment if there ever was one.
Musa’s penalty conversion marks the Croatian’s fourth goal in the last four games, averaging a goal per game under interim coach Peter Luccin — giving him his best goal-scoring streak since arriving to MLS from S.L. Benfica this season.

Cascante laughed first, but Musa laughed the loudest.
