Looking at the Ligue 1 standings, it's safe to say that bottom-of-the-table Angers are destined for relegation.
On Sunday, the club travelled to mid-table Clermont Foot in one of the most unremarkable matches across France this weekend, meaning it was up to the supporters to largely entertain themselves at Clermont's modest Stade Gabriel Montpied.
The traveling Angers fans — hoping to witness just a fourth victory in 31 attempts — had a little corner to themselves and could be seen wearing black for the first 20 minutes.
However, it wasn't long before they all popped their tops off in the spring sunshine. A scantly clad supporters' section set the stage for things to come.
Angers actually took the lead in the 28th-minute through Adrien Hunou — a frustratingly brilliant finish for anyone who watched him continuously disappoint during his time with Minnesota United — but Clermont earned a stonewall penalty in the 33rd.
Grejohn Kyei stepped up to take it but first had to zone out a very cheeky display from the Angers Ultras. He distanced himself from all the ass cracks then hit the griddy.
I like how Kyei first started running toward all the booty with his celebration then quickly changed course.
Incredibly, Clermont earned another penalty just six minutes later. There weren't nearly as many full moons with this one, and Muhammed Cham's resulting spot kick was a strangely rolled Panenka.
Clermont had Neto Borges sent off for scything an Angers player down by the Achilles but held on for the 2-1 win. They actually went down to nine men at 90+6' after Alidu Seidu tried to choke someone.
Life's different at the top of the table.
