Mexico international striker Erick "Cubo" Torres has been loaned from the Houston Dynamo to Cruz Azul, the Dynamo announced Saturday. The 23-year-old will play with the Mexico City-based club for the rest of their season.

Torres played for both Chivas teams before moving to Houston.
“After careful consideration as a club, and following discussions with Erick, we feel at this time he will benefit from a fresh environment going on loan with Cruz Azul,” Dynamo general manager Matt Jordan said in a statement. “We will be monitoring his progress and wish him well while away on loan.”
Torres didn't exactly light the world on fire in Houston, so if he can regain the form he showed with Chivas Guadalajara and Chivas USA, this is a good move.
