The sport of soccer extends far beyond any nation's borders or the pristine pitches of the Champions League. On a personal level, it has taken me on a whirlwind journey thousands of miles across the world - from the American east coast to villages deep in the Bavarian mountains to stadiums inside some of Europe's most beautiful cities. Aside from the actual play, the exposure to different cultures and ways of thinking are by far the most lasting impacts soccer will have on me.
Rivaling my love of the beautiful game is a passion for statistics and machine learning. To that extent, bringing a data-driven perspective to the sport that has long-defined me is quite literally a dream come true.
