Fulham forward Rodrigo Muniz had a heartwarming moment on Friday when he was surprised with the Premier League’s Player of the Month (POTM) award.
The 22-year-old Brazilian thought he was doing a normal pre-game interview in front of the cameras ahead of their league meeting with West Ham on Sunday. Little did he know that his fellow Brazilian teammates Willian and Andreas Pereira were sneaking up on him with a surprise.

Top professionals are so well media trained these days that it’s rare to get a genuine moment like this on film. That might explain why the video has received millions of views online across Fulham’s social platforms.
Muniz is the first Fulham player to win the award in 14 years. He scored four goals and recorded an assist during his four league games last month. His finest moment came against Sheffield United when he scored with a superb acrobatic effort.

Despite losing three of their last five league games, Fulham sit comfortably mid-table in 13th place and 14 points clear of relegation.
